From Hustle to Harmony

For years, I was like a relentless river—pushing forward, plowing through obstacles without pause. I was ambitious and hardworking, rarely took a break unless I was deathly ill. In university, I powered through with endless cups of coffee, diet Pepsi and minimal rest. I exercised endlessly in pursuit of something I thought would somehow fix me.

Then, about 10 years ago, while I was trying to get pregnant, I discovered restorative yoga. It offered a gentle, transformative shift from constant doing to simply being. At first, it was another thing to do: make sure I got my rest in! But then savasana became my sanctuary—a welcome relief where I could finally rest, recharge, and nurture myself.

A wise friend once told me, "You need to be more like a lake: still, calm, and open, allowing others to drink from your waters." That simple insight changed everything. I began to realize that I didn't need fixing; I was already enough, exactly as I am. And guess what? You are too!
